Help I Am Stuck And Can’t Get This Top Off!
I am sure you have been there before. You head out shopping and get excited to try something on then… BAMB, you are STUCK! Today I ventured out to Victoria Secret again. It seems it is my new favorite place since they sized me and I was reminded that I definitely went up in this world after my bilateral mastectomy. I headed back in today to look for a bikini for an upcoming trip. Head to the fitting room super excited to try on the bikini top, knowing that it should be just the perfect size since I was fitted last week.
The back of the bikini top did not have a hook or ties; it was material that was all sewn together, wishing now I had a photo of it. So I had to slide it over my head and throw my arms. Then it did not continue to move it was completely stuck over my “Foobs” in fact it was upside down and stuck. “Shit” I began to think. “I don’t have time to be stuck” but this top was not budging. I started to panic (I am claustrophobic) I grasped at the top, and tried to stretch it down over my stomach but nothing was happening. I began to sweat and felt super hot. “No way am I going to ring the bell and have the dressing room attendant get me out of this. I didn’t want to freak her out with my nipple free chest. So what do I do? I start taking photos and send them to my husband. I started having red marks all over my chest from trying to slide the top this way and that.
Finally, that was it. I was bound to get that damn bikini top off… so I took a deep breath and maneuvered my arm just right and bent over slightly and somehow I got it off. My braided hair was messy and no longer really braided. The hat I had been wearing was on the ground, and my face was red and sweaty but I did it I got that top off. You see “Foobs” don’t really move, they are just there, firm and in it’s place. Now I know never, ever try on a bikini top that does not hook in the back! Anyways I know you all have been there, stuck in a fitting room, quietly sweating, freaking out desperately trying to get the outfit off all while not destroying it in the process.
Sometimes in life we can get stuck. Maybe stuck in a job we just don’t like, stuck in a depression we can’t seem to overcome. Maybe stuck with the fear of getting cancer again. But we can get passed being stuck and we can move forward. With a little sweat and determination we can get unstuck, believe me I have been stuck more than just with this bikini top, but when you get passed it and you can breathe again feeling free and alive, it makes life so much more amazing!
